Almost three years ago, fate and a few introductions brought Adam Mitek and Nadine Barrera. Adam and I met in New York, NY. It was my second year of being a New Yorker after moving from sunny Southern California. Amongst the amazing girlfriends I’ve become close with, one in particular Adam had worked with, Triccia. Triccia and I connected immediately as we both were from California and ironically had the same last night. Adam saw a picture of me from Triccia’s photos and asked who I was, shortly after I had seen Adam in social settings that I would get invited to. Not really engaging in much of conversations a few times, after the third time we spoke and found out we had some similarities and realized we lived across the street from one another in downtown Manhattan. Shortly after that, he asked for me cell phone number and from that day on we went from complete strangers to inseparable companions in love. After two years and endless experiences together, Adam proposed in Big Sur, California in May 2014. Although our families knew and he had it planned all along, it was a totally surprise to me! When deciding on a location for our wedding, it seemed only natural to get married in the same location as one of our first trips as a couple. A year later we were married in Napa Valley.
